Yesterday, I had the opportunity to volunteer with an organization that is providing a vital service to the Atlanta community, Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW).
It is a non-profit, which provides free to low-cost services to empower black women, and their families. By providing preventative health services, maternal & child health services, mental health screening & referrals, and self-employment training
I first learned about this organization from an event given by them last year. As I was leaving the event a man approached me and spoke to me about the CBWW and their mission. I was inspired to become more involved with this great organization that provides such a phenomenal service to the community! I have attended monthly meetings with their planning committee to learn and help further their mission. Below are just a few of the pictures (I was working) I took from the event (LOL)!
I enjoyed my day volunteering and seeing how organizations like this one really help and support the community. I will definitely be there for next year’s bigger and better event!
